Although not a substitution
for breast feeding, the Podee bottle is a revolutionary feeding system
with many advantages over standard bottles.
It allows the baby to be
fed in an upright or semi-upright position which reduces colic and
reflux as well as ear infections.
It is fantastic to use for
twins or multiples as it leaves you hands-free to touch your babies,
wind one baby while feeding another or just cuddle both babies while
they are feeding.
It is great when they are
older as they can help themselves in their highchairs while eating.

All about the Bottle:
The podee bottle allows you to feed your baby
hands free. The tube system creates a continuous flow of milk created by
the babies sucking action and there is a minimum intake of air. The baby
can feed in an upright position which helps reduce colic and any risk of
ear infections.
I have found these a godsend with my twins. They can feed themselves
while I talk and sing to them or I can feed one while the other feeds on
their own. I can feed them in the pushchair so there is no need to stop
when we are out and try to find a cafe with space for a double
pushchair.
When you use the Podee to feed your baby, your hands are left free to
hold your baby instead of holding the bottle. This is great as you are
bonding more easily with your baby who now has eye to eye contact with
you instead of looking up at the ceiling.
The Podee works by bringing a continuous flow of fluid from the bottom
of the bottle to the teat this flow being achieved without the use of
valves; it is created by the suction power of your baby.
As your baby sucks on the teat, fluid is drawn up the tubes from the
bottom of the bottle. When the teat is full no air can enter the feeding
system so any air your baby manages to swallow is minimal. This reduces
gas build up in the stomach thus reducing wind and colic. (Air pressure
is equalised above the fluid in the bottle so that your baby can
continue to suck).
The long (11.5") tube allows your baby to be fed in an upright position
whilst sitting on your knee facing you so that you can look at and talk
to your baby during feeding. This aids bonding and your baby will learn
to hold the teat and take it her mouth which aids hand/mouth
co-ordination.
The Podee is the most versatile baby bottle on the market today! Feed
your baby on your knee, in the car, in a bouncy seat, in the high chair,
in a push chair whilst out walking or shopping.
Fantastic for outdoor parents who want to take their baby trecking.
