Naughty Step

For the last few weeks we have been using the naughty step/corner/chair technique on our 2 year olds and it is working really well. I find that the 2 minutes they spend gives them enough time to forget about what they were doing and it acts as enough of a distraction for them to not go back and do it again. They seem to quite like being punished and especially like the kiss and cuddle part. It doesn seem odd that even though they like the punishment it is still working....we shall see if the success continues.

Teething

My sons are two years old and are getting their back teeth through. At times they seem grumpy and one of them is having trouble sleeping (which he does from time to time anyway). I am wondering whether anyone has any hints as to what to do for them. When theyw ere younger I use dto give the anbesol and if it was really bad and they had missed a few nights sleep some medicine at bed time. Addicted to podee

My son is addicted to his podee bottle. He is 2 years old and can now drink out of a normal cup but he still loves his podee bottle and sucks on it to get to sleep and uses it as his comfort blanket during the day. It is useful at night as it gives him some comfort in bed and as he wakes a lot it stops him crying everytime he wakes ip. However, I know that he will need to give it up eventually and I have no idea how I am going to wean him off it.
